The largest in Surgutsky District sports and leisure complex has been opened in Bely Yar town with the support of RN-Yuganskneftegaz, Rosneft’s leading production enterprise. Its construction and the supply of advanced digital equipment was financed under the Agreement on Cooperation between Rosneft Oil Company and the Government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District—Yugra.

Rosneft is committed to the principles of high social responsibility, traditionally paying special attention to creating a favourable social environment in the regions of operation.

An area of almost 8,000 m² of the Bely Yar cultural and leisure complex accommodates two choreographic gymnasiums, a design studio with an exhibition space, a rehearsal hall for 60 seats with its own stage. There are separate rooms for vocal and choral singing classes, as well as an art studio and a library. The complex can accommodate up to 30 creative groups.

A large concert hall for 350 seats, equipped with a 8x5 m digital screen, light and sound systems, can host artists from Russia and all over the world. The stage’s special surface is designed to support professional ballet performances.

The three floors of the library house a conference room, children’s and adult reading rooms, a local history multimedia centre, a creative ideas centre with equipment for workshops on trending areas, a comics centre and VR space, an intellectual room with National Digital Library resources for lectures and presentations, and a book repository with 60,000 items. There is a digital kiosk in the lobby where visitors can find out information about current events and book releases. Up to 170 people can visit the library per day. Access ramps are provided for people with special needs.

The new complex will become the centre of cultural life in the entire Surgutsky District, a platform for the support and development of folk art, and a venue for exhibitions, concerts, theatre performances, lectures and other events.
